POULTRY REARING PROJECT
After the success of our Dorper Sheep pilot, we expanded our impact—empowering 12 more single mothers with seed capital of 7 chickens, 1 rooster, and 1 bag of feed each, supported by a group model to spark income growth and shared success.
In just 5 months, each of the 12 single mothers increased their monthly income by Ksh. 2,500 (USD 25)—a true game changer.
During follow-up meetings, they shared how the project transformed their lives by diversifying income through egg sales while also making it possible to afford everyday needs and add much-needed protein to their diets—something that was once a luxury.
